Chitkara University’s Idea-Thon 3.0: Transforming Innovative Ideas into Reality

Chitkara University is set to host the third edition of Idea-Thon, a hackathon organized by Chitkara University NewGen IEDC and Chitkara University Technology Enabling Centre, proudly sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Idea-Thon 3.0 aims to empower young innovators by providing them with support and guidance to pitch their groundbreaking ideas confidently.

The primary objective of this hackathon is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among young minds. Idea-Thon 3.0 seeks to streamline the idea submission process, offering a hassle-free experience for participants. Aspiring innovators only need to record a two-minute video presenting their project proposals and submit them for consideration.

Idea-Thon 3.0 is open to students, research scholars, academicians, start-ups, freelance innovators, and industry professionals nationwide. The competition is free to enter, with a preference for hardware projects and encouragement for those addressing industry problems.

Participants have the chance to secure project development funding of up to INR 2.25 Lacs from Chitkara University NewGen IEDC. The top 5 ideas will be awarded a cash prize of INR 25,000 each. In addition to monetary rewards, winners will receive expert guidance, mentoring support, collaboration opportunities, and citations on NewGen IEDC forums, including the website and social media platforms.
