Eligibility

Candidates must qualify one of the two sets of criteria given below to be eligible for admission.

Option 1:Passed XII with a minimum aggregate of 60% or secures 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; appeared in JEE Main-2024 (January/April); and, passed 10+2 examination in 2023 or appearing in 2024. The admission shall be made on the All-India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main-2024.
Option 2:Passed XII with a minimum aggregate of 70% or secures 70% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; and, passed 10+2 examination in 2023 or appearing in 2024.

B.E. - Automotive Engineering

The automotive industry is changing rapidly and moving towards electrical vehicles which are set to completely dominate the market in the next two decades. This course has been designed with these technological developments in mind with as much emphasis on the electrical side of vehicle design as the mechanical side so graduates are well equipped for the automotive industry of the future. It will provide students with the knowledge and skills required in the modern automotive industry, with a focus on Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV).

Program Structure

Students will get to learn the fundamentals of EV and HEV in the first two and a half years at Chitkara University after which students would go to ARAI Academy, Pune to study latest technologies and get hands-on practical exposure in the next one and a half years. The last two semesters will be totally devoted to project work, which shall be carried out either in the Automotive Industry or at ARAI Academy.

Our Automotive Engineering courses are taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials, group work and workshops. Furthermore, students are expected to conduct independent studies to develop their knowledge. This combination enables you to develop numerous skills within the automotive industry, preparing you perfectly for your career in industry.
