4-YEAR B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology in collaboration with FORTIS HEALTHCARE

Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology is the health profession concerned with the direct administration of radiation, primarily x-rays, in disease diagnosis and injury assessment and treatment.

Eligibility

  • Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination recognized by any Indian University or a duly constituted Board with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology
  • or

  • Diploma in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology after completing 12th class/ 10 +2 of CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in physics chemistry and biology

B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology

Medical Radiology and Imaging Technologist (MRIT) is healthcare professional that employ a range of different imaging techniques and sophisticated equipment to produce high quality images during any injury or disease. They take the images using range of techniques including: X-rays, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, CT (computed tomography), MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), DEXA, Angiography etc

At Chitkara School of Health Sciences, a student for Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology program is provided with inclusive duration of 4years. In clinical rotations, the student experiences hands-on learning in each discipline of the imaging and, under supervision, performs diagnostic testing in the department of Radio diagnosis and Imaging. Students undergo rotatory training in various techniques of whole body X-rays including interventional procedures including Barium studies, Intravenous procedures, HSG, RGU and MCU etc., and also various scanning procedures of CT and MRI.
