    • 10 +2 or equivalent examination recognised by any Indian University or a duly constituted Board with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology
    • or
    • Diploma in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology after completing 10 +2 of CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

A Medical Radiology and Imaging Technologist (MRIT) is a healthcare professional who employs a range of different imaging techniques and sophisticated equipment to produce high quality images during any injury or disease. They take the images using range of techniques including: X-rays, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, CT (Computed Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), DEXA, Angiography, etc.

At Chitkara School of Health Sciences, the B.Sc in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology program spans 4 years and is taught through a blend of classroom and clinical education. In clinical rotations, the student experiences hands-on learning in each discipline of imaging and, under supervision, performs diagnostic testing in the department of Radio Diagnosis and Imaging. Students undergo rotatory training in various techniques of whole body X-rays including interventional procedures such as Barium studies, intravenous procedures, HSG, RGU and MCU etc., and also various scanning procedures of CT and MRI.

Masters Program (Fellowship)

After successfully completing the B.Sc in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology program, students will have the opportunity to pursue a Master of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology under the Fellowship program. While pursuing the Master’s program, they will also be eligible for a stipend of approximately Rs. 30,000 per month.
