It includes four academic years followed by a mandatory one-year internship, with clinical exposure starting from Year 2. Graduates are entitled to use the prefix Dr., recognising their professional status as licensed physiotherapy practitioners. Physiotherapists are now first-contact clinical professionals with the right to independent clinical practice, enabling them to assess, diagnose, and treat patients directly. The new curriculum prioritises clinical competence over theoretical knowledge and integrates simulation labs, mannequins, task-based learning, and real-time assessments to prepare students for real-world healthcare challenges.
Chitkara School of Health Science’s Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program meets the growing demand for physiotherapists. The first two years focus on theory, while the 3rd and 4th years emphasise clinical skills, practical application, and industry exposure, preparing students for seamless integration into the workforce.
