IN THIS UNIQUE 2+2 PROGRAM, STUDENTS COMPLETE THE FIRST TWO YEARS AT CHITKARA UNIVERSITY, STUDYING AN AMERICAN-STYLE CURRICULUM MAPPED TO ASU’S BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (BS).

After two years, students can transfer to ASU to complete their degree, graduating with a globally recognised ASU degree. The program also offers specialisations in software engineering or cybersecurity, master classes with ASU faculty, and stem opt (optional practical training), allowing students to work in the U.S. for up to three years.

For those who choose not to transfer, the option to complete their degree at Chitkara University provides flexibility while ensuring a world-class education close to home.

Work experience

This course includes a professional experience unit, where you will be required to undertake at least 30 to 60 days of practical work experience in an engineering workplace with assessment tasks designed to develop and enhance your understanding of the engineering profession, professional practice and continuing professional development, possible career outcomes, and the opportunity to establish valuable professional networks during your degree once you move to Australia.
  • Deakin University’s software engineering course has been designed in accordance to Engineers Australia’s and the Australian Computer Society’s professional accreditation requirements. Deakin has been awarded accreditation for the Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) with the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Deakin's Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) is also provisionally accredited with Engineers Australia (EA).
  • The award conferred upon completion of undergraduate software engineering degree from Deakin University in Australia is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework at Level 8.

Fee Structure at Chitkara University

A student will save significantly on international tuition fee during their two years of study at Chitkara university in India. The international fee will only be applicable when the student transfers to USA in the third year at ASU University

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science & Technology

FEE PER SEMESTER

  • Students who will continue in the 3rd Year of the program at Chitkara University will be required to pay a nominal program fee of Rs. 1,65,000/- per semester for the 3rd & 4th Year and will graduate with a B.E. degree in Computer Science & Technology from Chitkara University.

How to Apply

You can visit our website or download application form or visit us at our admission office in Chandigarh or speak to our representative. Once you meet the eligibility conditions below, you can deposit the application form with required documents and application fee to receive your letter of admission. The eligibility conditions are:

  • Successful completion of Class XII with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with a minimum 65% aggregate and 65% in
  • A minimum of 65% in English in Class XII
  •       Or
  • Achievement of a minimum score of 6.5 bands on the IELTS English proficiency test with no band less than 6
  •       Or
  • TOEFL iBT score of 79 (internet-based test, taken in a testing centre).

Arizona State University (ASU) is committed to supporting outstanding international students through the New American University (NAMU) Scholarship. This merit-based scholarship is designed to reward academic excellence and provide financial support to deserving students.

  • Automatic Consideration: Students are automatically considered upon admission to ASU – no separate application is required.
  • Award Values: Scholarships range from $3,000 to $10,000 per year, depending on the student’s profile.

Eligibility Factors

  • Competitive GPA and TOEFL/IELTS scores (students fulfilling English proficiency through the EUGAA course are evaluated on GPA only).
  • Full-time enrollment status is required.
  • Open to incoming undergraduate transfer students at the following campuses:
  • Downtown Phoenix
  • Polytechnic
  • Tempe
  • West Valley
  • ASU in Los Angeles
  • ASU Online programs are not eligible.
  • Additional Opportunities: Students attending programs on the West Valley or Polytechnic campuses may qualify for extra scholarships.

Renewal and Duration:

  • Scholarships are renewable for:
  • Up to 4 semesters for 2+2 program students.
  • Up to 2 semesters for 3+1 program students.
  • To maintain eligibility, students must:
  • Complete a minimum of 30 semester credits annually.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Notes

  • Scholarship eligibility and award values may vary based on visa status, tuition classification, and admission term (Fall or Spring).
  • The annual scholarship amount is split across the Fall and Spring semesters.
