Chitkara University Gears Up for G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds Event
Chitkara University’s forthcoming event, ‘G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds,’ is scheduled to take place on August 24, 2023, in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), the Group of Twenty (G20), and The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, at Chitkara University, Punjab. This event is aimed at fostering intellectual exchange and promoting awareness among the youth about the G20 and its global significance.
The Group of Twenty (G20), recognised as a premier platform for international economic cooperation, plays a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the global economic landscape. It will address critical international economic issues and bolster global governance structures.
Eminent guests who will grace the event with their presence are Prof. N.R. Bhnaumurthy, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics, Bangalore; Prof. Manish, Professor & Dean, School of International Studies, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar; Prof. Kanhaiya Ahuja, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Social Science, Devi Ahilya University, Indore; and Dr. Rahul Ranjan, Consultant, RIS, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
The event is scheduled to feature a range of competitions designed to foster engagement and awareness among young minds on G20-related themes. These competitions include Poster Making, Collage Making, Blog Writing, and Essay Writing. Winners of these competitions will be felicitated by the esteemed guests during the G20 University Connect Lecture Series event. The primary objective of these competitions is to sensitise students to the themes of the G20 and India’s role in achieving its objectives.
As India holds the Presidency of the G20, this event seeks to enhance students’ understanding of the country’s crucial role in the global economic landscape.
