Chitkara University’s ICESS 2023 a Confluence of Tech Visionaries

Chitkara University’s Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering achieved a significant milestone with the successful inauguration of the ‘International Conference on Emerging Technology and Sustainable Solutions (ICESS 2023).’ Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University, commenced the proceedings with insightful opening remarks, setting the tone for a day of intellectual discourse. Dr. Shivani Malhotra, Dean of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chitkara University, Punjab, provided a comprehensive overview of the conference’s key highlights.

Distinguished luminaries in the field of technology graced the event, including Hitesh Garg (India Country Manager, NXP Semiconductors), Dr. Satish Kumar (Chief Scientist, CSIO), Dr. Radhika Trikha (COO, Technology and Innovation Foundation, IIT Ropar), Dr. Deepak Aggarwal (Scientist-F and Head, BIS), and Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Ex Vice President, HDFC Bank). Their collective presence added immense value to the discussions and exemplified the conference’s stature.

One of the pivotal moments of the event was the formalisation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IIT Ropar and Chitkara University. The conference, operating under the theme “Innovate, Sustain, and Transform,” featured various tracks that provided a platform for participants to present their cutting-edge research and ideas. The conference conferred ‘The Best Paper Award’ across six parallel tracks, acknowledging outstanding contributions to the field.

With over 300 academics and students actively participating, the conference emerged as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, laying the groundwork for future breakthroughs in emerging technologies and sustainable solutions.
