Dr. RAJNI BALA: PROFESSOR AND DY. DEAN (ACADEMICS, UG)

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutics), Ph. D.
She has total experience of 23 years from academia. Her research interests include NDDS (Liposomes, Phytosomes), fast dissolving drug delivery systems using natural polymers their formulation and optimization. She has published one book on industrial pharmacy and 21 research/review articles in national & international journals of repute and three patents (applied) to his credit. She has supervised 8 M-Pharmacy and 2 PhD candidates and organized many conferences/seminars as organizing secretary.

Dr. INDERBIR SINGH: PROFESSOR AND HOD, M. PHARM, PHARAMACEUTICS

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutics), Ph. D.
His research interests include NDDS, gastroretentive drug delivery systems, biopolymers/biomaterials/modified polymers in drug delivery, QbD, SeDeM expert system, 3D printing technology. He has six books, ten book chapters and six patents (applied) and one patent granted to his credit. He has published more than 85 papers in peered review journals. He has guided 40 M Pharmacy and 8 PhD students. He is a visiting Professor to the prestigious WITS Advanced Drug Delivery Platform, Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Dr. REECHA MADAN: PROFESSOR, PHARMACOGNOSY

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmacognosy), Ph. D.
She has 19 years of teaching and research experience. Her research area includes exploring Traditional Plants for various pharmacological activities and role of natural polymers, gums and mucilage as pharmaceutical excipients in Drug delivery. One of her research work on isolation of Natural molecules from plant sources is appreciated by Sami Laboratories, Bengaluru. She has guided 5 post graduate Students and 03 PhD (2 pursuing) student. She has published 34 research papers and filed 03 patents. She has authored one book entitled “Text Book on Herbal Drug Technology”. She has delivered many invited talks in different national and international conferences and seminars, and chaired various technical sessions in different national and international conferences. Prof Reecha is representing North West Region being member of APTI. Her Biographical note has been included in Asian Admirable Achievers 2016 (vol IX, Page 261). She is life member of various national societies like IPGA, APTI, SOPI and Society of Pharmacognosy.

Dr. ANJU GOYAL: PROFESSOR, PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY

She has experience of approximately 15 years in academic. Her research areas include Synthesis and Derivatization of Heterocyclic Compounds to get final Nitric Oxide Donors, Derivatization of Phytoconstituents and Analytical Method Development. She guided 01 M. Pharm. student and 09 Ph.D projects are currently being guided by her. She has to her credit 05 patents (as lead investigator and coinvestigator). She has more than 30 Publications to her credit. She has attended and presented various papers in National/International Seminars and Conferences. She is also co-author of book “Pharmaceutical Chemistry-VI (Medicinal Chemistry-1)” published by Thakur Publications and “Synthesis and Biological Aspects of Pyrimidine Derivatives” published by Lambert. Dr. Goyal is life member of APTI, IPGA, IHPA and Society of Pharmacovigilance of India. She is member of Editorial Board and Advisory Board of various National and International Journals.

Dr. ASHISH K. REHNI: PROFESSOR, PHARMACOLOGY

He carries an experience of 14 years in academics and research, and is engaged with projects on drug dependence, Stroke, toxicology and epileptogenesis. He is doing post doc at Cerebral Vascular Disease Research Laboratories, Department of Neurology and Neuroscience Program, University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida, USA. He is also involved in neuropathy and stem cell research studies. He has 63 highly reputed research publications (National and International) and 6 book-chapters under his name. He has filed 3 national patents and got two international patents under his name. He has guided thesis for 06 M. Pharmacy students.

Dr. THAKUR GURJEET SINGH: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, ASSISTANT DEAN & HOD, PHARM. D.

He carries an experience of 14.5 years in industry, Research and teaching. He is engaged with projects on interception of nicotine, morphine, alcohol dependence, ischemia, diabetic neuropathy & nephropathy toxicology and epilepsy & Alzheimer’s disease and stem cell research studies and handles affiliation formalities with the director’s office. He has also attended UGC networking course at PU, Chandigarh and clinical research training program at NIPER Mohali. He has 75 research publications (International) and 16-book chapters 4 book and 16 patents filed under his name. Till date, having 75 publications in peer reviewed journals with cumulative impact factor 120 with 572 citations, h-index 14 and i10-index 19 to the credit. He has attended more than 60 national and international conferences. He has guided thesis for 50 M. Pharm students and supervising 8 Ph. D candidates. He is a reviewer for various highly reputed international journals

Dr. MANJU NAGPAL: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, COORDINATOR M. PHARM PROGRAMS

She has experience of 16+ years in academics, administrative functions and research in areas of controlled and NDDS. Dr. Manju is actively involved in research particularly in the field of binary dispersions using modified gums, superporous hydrogels, nanosponge delivery systems, topical drug delivery, fast dissolving dosage forms, self emulsifying drug delivery systems. She has more than 80 research and review publications in various National/International journals of repute to her credit. She has attended 40 national and international conferences. She is author of 4 book chapters in Elsevier, Nova, Springer, IGI global publishers. Dr. Manju Nagpal is a reviewer for international journals like Journal of pharmacy and pharmacology, AAPS Pharmscitech, JDDT, Science domain journals, JAPTER, Drug Development Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Development Technology and Drug Delivery. She has supervised 40 students for M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) and 2 Ph.D Candidates under her guidance.

Dr. AMARJOT KAUR GREWAL: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

She is having experience of 16 years in academics, administrative functions and research in areas of ischemia reperfusion injury, post conditioning, Pharmacological Post conditioning, Stroke, Dementia, Morphine Withdrawal Syndrome, Renal Ischemia, AD, PD and HD. She had guided 31 post graduate students and 3 PhD scholars are pursuing PhD under her guidance. She has taught pharmacology to BDS and Nursing students also. She has more than 25 publications in International and National Journals to her credit.

Dr. MADHUKAR GARG: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

He has more than 15 years of professional experience in academics including teaching, training and research. His area of specialization and research expertise is in “Phytochemistry and Plant Tissue Culture”. He is a member of APTI and PCI. He has in his credit about 20 National/International publications (Research, Review and Book chapters). He has been an invited speaker in various National conferences. Under his guidance two students have completed their research work and received their post-graduation degree. Currently he is guiding two PhD scholars in Chitkara University in the emerging field of medicinal natural products (Phytochemical, Pharmacological Evaluation and Standardization).

Dr. RAKESH K. SINDHU: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

He is involved in research regarding standardization, Phytochemi¬cal and Pharmacological Evaluation of herbal drugs/ products. Formulation development and standardization of herbal products He had published more than 34 research papers in reputed journals and presented papers in 8 international and 30 national conferences. He is actively involved in reviewing research papers of well repute journals and member and serving as editorial broad member for national and international journals during 13 year of experience in academics and research. He has filled 6 patents and published 4 books (Text book of Herbal Drug Technology, Text book of Computer Application in Pharmacy, Text book on Synthesis and Biological Aspects of Pyrimidine Derivatives, Nanotechnology: Principles and Applications) and three book chapters.

Dr. NIDHI GARG: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

She has an experience 10 years in academics. She has published more than 4 national and 21 international publications in reputed journals and 20 national (IRACON) and international (EULAR, APLAR and ACR) conference proceedings. She has got an International travel award from ICMR in 2013. She has been awarded with Best ORAL PAPER Award during IRACON 2015 organized by Indian Rheumatology Asociation. She has also awarded with “E-CONGRESS BURSARY AWARD” to attend EULAR E – Congress, 2020 in June 2020. She has received GCP certification from ROCHE in 2017. She has supervised M. Pharm (06) and Pharm D students (08). Her areas of interest include inflammatory rheumatic diseases, scleroderma, diabetes mellitus and stem cells.

Dr. RITCHU BABBAR: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Dr. SUKHBIR SINGH: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

He has experience of more than 12 years in academics and research. He is associated with Industry Oriented Courses held in collaboration between Chitkara University and established Pharmaceutical Industries. He has 70 publications in various National/International journal of repute and filed 12 patents, 3 books & 7 book chapters to his credit. He has presented/published 40 review/research abstracts in various National/International conferences. He is also engaged with 4 consultancy projects on herbal/homeopathic formulation. He is an associate editor of Open Access Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, Medwin publisher. He has been awarded “Certificate of Inventorship” for his novel invention. In 2017, he has been honored “Research Excellence Award” for research work published in SCOPUS Indexed Journals by honorable chancellor of Chitkara University. He and his team (Dr Sandeep Arora, Dr Neelam Sharma, Ms. Rupanshi Grover) has received IEDC, Govt. of India, prototyping grant of upto 2.5 Lac for her project related to management of ARDS in COVID and an opportunity to pitch for 75 Lac University funding for research by Chitkara University Punjab during Novate+ 2020 held at Chitkara University, Punjab. He has guided 12 M. Pharmacy students and 5 Ph.D students are pursuing PhD under his guidance. His areas of interest in research are nanotechnology based formulation development and solubility enhancement of BCS class II drugs.

Dr. RAVINDER KUMAR JAURA: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

He carries an experience of 11 years in industry, research and teaching. He is engaged with projects on safety, efficacy and bioequivalence studies of various drugs in phase 4 clinical trials and handles clinical studies at GSMCH Rajpura, Fortis Hospital Mohali. He has also attended clinical research training program at NIPER Mohali. He has 12 review and research publications. He has guided thesis for 13 M. Pharm students. He is involved in Coordinating Clinical schedules for Pharm D Program, conducting sessions for Industry oriented programs (Dr. Reddy’s), part of placement coordination and regulatory documentation team.

She has an experience of 6 years in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and academics and has been involved in conducting Pharma Chemistry, Pharma Analysis and related subjects for the Undergraduate B Pharm program. She is also involved in In house campus facility and utility analysis, coordination of International student exchange programs and other functions.

She is engaged with projects on Nanotechnology in drug delivery, Solubility enhancement technologies, Formulation development of novel and conventional drug delivery systems, Expert drug design and Targeted drug delivery using Nano colloidal drug carriers e.g. vesicular carriers (liposomes, niosomes) and particulate carriers (polymeric and lipid nanoparticles). She has published 18 research & 7 review articles (National & international), six book chapter (International level) and one international book. She has presented more than 35 papers in national & international conferences. She is also engaged with Dr. Reddy’s industry oriented course (B. Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry) & (B.E Pharmaceutical chemistry and Technology) and with training for Induction batch Dr. Reddy’s at CCP. She has filed four patents under her name. He carries an experience of 15 years in academics and research, and is engaged with clinical evaluation and prescription monitoring. He is also involved in evidence based medicine and pharmacovigilance studies. He also managed clinical research and operations including design and initiation of clinical trials coordinate with trial and oversee clinical trials to support regulatory submissions. He has guided thesis for 03 M. Pharmacy students.

Dr. TAPAN BEHL, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmacology), Ph. D.
He has experience of 9+ years in Research and Teaching. Dr. Behl is deft in conducting Animal Experimentation, Diabetes and Associated Complications, Neurological Studies, Hepatological Studies, Scientific Literature Extraction, Retina Isolation, Retro-orbital Plexus and Surgical Procedures; keep abreast of recent developments by reading current literature, liaising with colleagues and have ability to manage multitasking projects in both individuals as well as part of a team. He has completed PhD in Medical Pharmacology in the year 2017 from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, India and is a recipient of Gold Medal for the academic excellence during master’s tenure. Till date, having 88 publications in peer reviewed journals with cumulative impact factor 110.7, 485 citations, h-index 11 and I 10-index 13 to the credit. Dr. Tapan is efficient in completing the projects assigned on time to government and private agencies. Dr. Behl also handled the project from CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India entitled Effect of Indian Almond and Sweet Almond in Diabetes induced Nephropathy and Cataract in rats. Dr. Behl has received International Travel Grant from Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to present research work in prestigious 18th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology at Kyoto, Japan. He has to his credit many reputed awards few of them include Young Scientist Award, Tech Research Award, Young Researcher Award, Fellow of Medical Research Council and Fellowship in Health Promotion and Education. Dr. Tapan Behl is currently guiding students for award of Masters and PhD degree.

Ms. KIRANJEET KAUR, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

She has 1.5 year experience in teaching. She did her research work on biomarkers which can be used as early detection of cardiovascular risk in metabolic syndrome patients & diabetic patients. She is guiding M .Pharm. students. She is also engaged in training to Pharm D students in hospital ward rounds and patient counseling training. She has taken part in paper presentation in international conference and has also attended various national & international conferences.

Dr. SAURABH GUPTA, SENIOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmacology), Ph. D.
He carries professional experience of 14 Years in academics and research. He is engaged with clinical and preclinical drug development, derived from extensive graduate training in Pharmacology. Conducted research focused on the Respiratory mechanism of Pharmacological preconditioning. As Pharmacological preconditioning plays an important role in allergic disorders so extensive information, regarding protective role of ROS, RNS, adenosine, Interleukins-6, Interleukins-13, TNF-alpha, and MAP kinase as triggering mechanism in Pharmacological preconditioning, is provided. Research is oriented to find out the novel pathways of Pharmacological preconditioning in respiratory disorders and allergic such as respiratory stroke by using various drugs like Ova, Histamine and Trypsin induced. Key research expertise areas include: Animal models development and validation. Respiratory disorders (Allergic Rhinitis, Allergic response by Mast cells, Asthma), Preconditioning and anesthetic techniques, histopathological and various respiratory data evaluation like Markers and BALF studies etc. He is also engaged with training for Induction batch (B.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry) of Dr. Reddy’s. He has 36 publications in National and International peer reviewed Journals, 2 books as editor, 1 book as co-editor & 1 book chapter.

Ms. RASHMI ARORA, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), Pursuing Ph. D.
She has extensive experience in academia having 13 year experience in teaching and research, having exposure of industry and is about to complete Doctor of Philosophy. She has been engaged with project like Synthesis, antimicrobial and anti-helminthic activity of novel pyrazole derivatives of benzimidazole, Isolation, Characterization and Bioprospecting of Microbes from various Ecological Niches, Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic potential of Luffa acutangula Roxb. Var. amara. Seeds, Cucumis melovar. agrestis seeds, Citrullus colocynthis seeds, anti-asthmatic activity of Ageratum conyzoide L, and Pluchea lanceolate. Her main research interest includes synthesis of novel derivatives, isolation of bioactive constituents and their pharmacological evaluation. She has guided 15 M. Pharm students and is presently co-guiding one student. She has published 57 papers in various international and national journals of repute. She has to her credit participation in about 25 national and international conferences.

Dr. RAJWINDER KAUR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

She has an experience of 10.5 years in Research and teaching. She has worked as DST Women Scientist (WOS-A) at Panjab University, Chandigarh and bagged prestigious fellowships UGC-MRP, CSIR-SRF. She has also been awarded “Dr. Harpal Singh Buttar and Harinder Kaur Buttar Young Scientist Award in Pharmaceutical Sciences for Rural Women” by Punjab Academy of Sciences in 2013. Dr. Kaur has published more than 15 national and international publications and one patent to her credit. She has participated and presented papers in about 40 national and international conferences. Her research areas of interest are Computer aided drug design, Synthesis and analysis of new chemical entities (NCEs) like hetero- fused bicyclic and tricyclic thienopyrimidines, pyrrolopyrimidines, benzothiazoles as adenosine receptor antagonists, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agents and also method development by HPLC. She is also responsible for NSS activities at Chitkara College of Pharmacy.

Dr. BALRAJ SAINI, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

He carries professional experience of 7.5 Years research and 1.6 years in academics. He is engaged with projects on ICH recommended forced degradation studies on different active pharmaceutical ingredients. He has 14 publications in National and International Journals of repute to his credit. He is an active member of American Society of Mass Spectrometry. He has participated in about 12 national and international conferences. He carries professional experience of 6 Years in research and academics. He is engaged with projects on structure based drug design and medicinal chemistry of different heterocyclic nucleus against Alzheimer’s diseases, Diabetic complications etc. He was also engaged with training for Induction batch (B.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry) of Dr. Reddy’s. He has about 16 publications, 01 book and 01 book chapter under his credit on Flavones, Acetyl cholinesterase, Oxindole, P2X7, kinase inhibitors like Syk, ZAP-70 in various journals of international repute. He is recipient of several awards in national and international conferences. He has been awarded with various fellowships (AICTE, UGC- BSR, ICMR-SRF) and travel grants (ICMR, CSIR, IBRO-SfN USA, IBRO-France).

DR. POONAM ARORA, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutical Analysis), Ph. D.
She has a professional experience of around 14 years. She has one year experience of Research and development in Pharmaceutical industry and almost 9 years of experience of teaching in Pharmaceutical field. Her research interests include Pharmaceutical Analysis, natural products and improvement of physicochemical parameters of Pharmaceutical agents. With her extensive interest in research she has 2 patents to her credit. She has a book entitled, “Cyclodextrin: A versatile ingredients” in her kitty. Besides this, she has published 40 research and review articles in National and International journals and 2 book chapters. She has two Ph.D students enrolled under her and she has guided 13 M. Pharmacy students. She is life member of Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association (IPGA), Pharmacy Council of India, The Indian Thermodynamics Society, Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP), and Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI). She is guest reviewer for Journal of Molecular Structure (Elsevier) and has also reviewed for Wiley Ltd.

Dr. DEEPIKA RAINA, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

She have worked with the Synochem lab for a year as an analyst in the QC department. She has 7 years of teaching experience with different institutes expertise in Pharmaceutics i.e. design and formulation of dosage forms. She has published 10 research papers and published 5 patents.

Dr. ABHIMANYU PRASHAR, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Pharm. D., Ph. D.
He carries a collective professional experience of 6 years in academics (2.5 years) and research (3.5 years) in the field of Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Research. He worked as a Clinical Trial Coordinator at a tertiary care hospital for a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial for over 1 year. In addition to this; he has got Pharmacovigilance Training at the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Center under National Pharmacovigilance Program by CDSCO. After cracking Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), he has worked as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the project “Establishment of Poison Information and Management Services to Public and Healthcare Professionals” funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST). He has published over 5 research papers in indexed journals and has been the member of International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research (ISPOR) since 2018. His area of specialization and research are clinical toxicology, clinical research, Pharmacoeconomics and outcome research and pharmacovigilance. He has guided 6 post graduate students. He has also received Travel Grant of USD 1800 from the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research

Dr. ARUN KUMAR DHIMAN, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutics), Ph. D.
He has a Full time Fellowship (JUIT/126752) in the area of Polymeric nanocomposite hydrogel-based drug delivery system for biomedical applications. He carries approximately 8 years of combined research and teaching experience in the area of polymeric nanocomposite drug delivery system for biomedical applications, diabetic ulcers, and various Nano formulations based drug delivery system for oral delivery of phytochemicals. As a researcher he has guided more than 10 graduate and 10 undergraduate students during their research work. He has more than 20 publications, 2 book chapters and his research work has been published in peer reviewed journals such as International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Life Sciences, Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology, Current Neuropharmacology and International Journal of Molecular Sciences (MDPI). His current research focuses on design and synthesis of sprayed nanocomposite hydrogels, triple layer nanocomposite hydrogels, nanobiotechnology and synergistic effect of ZnNPs and berberine hydrochloride loaded NLCs as an antimicrobial and anticancer agent.

Dr. VARINDER SINGH, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutical Chemistry), Ph. D.
He carries a professional experience of 2 years in teaching and research—in the fields of pharmacognosy and natural products. He has to his credit about 18 national and international peer reviewed publications and participated in about 25 conferences. His area of specialization are natural products research including drug discovery, standardization, biological and phytochemical evaluation and formulation development. He has been awarded with various travel grants by DST, ICMR and International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) to attend and present his research work at USA and Canada. He is a member of Punjab State Pharmacy Council and Life member of Indian Science Congress Association.

Dr. AMIT KUMAR, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutics), Ph. D.
He carries a professional experience of 8 years – 5 year research experience, 1 year industrial experience, and 2 years teaching experience. He has 14 international research publications in journal of high repute. His area of specialization and research are Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and ischemia.

Dr. DEEPINDER SINGH, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutics), Ph. D.
He carries a professional experience of 2.2 years in teaching and 6 years in research/training. He is a PG diploma holder of IPR & Patent Law from Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and qualified distance learning general course on Intellectual Property conducted by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). During his doctorate he worked as a senior research fellow for 2.5 years in in UGC funded project entitled “Development and Evaluation of Nano Formulation for Topical Treatment of Skin Infection” and assisted for a year in UGC Major Project entitled “Vaginal Drug Delivery System Employing Natural Bioadhesive Polymer(s)”. His area of specialization and research are targeted carriers (Nanoceutics) and controlled/ mucoadhesive drug delivery systems employing natural or other products. Till date he has been credited with high impacted 6 international/national publications, 2 book chapters with varied novel research work in pipeline.

Dr. SUMAN BAISHNAB, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Pharm. D., Pursuing Ph. D.
He carries a professional experience of 7.5 years – 1.5 years in industry (Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Ltd.) and 6 years in academics. He owns 13 publications as of date in various journals, 1 book chapter & 1 book on Pharmacy Practice. His field of expertise is clinical pharmacy, medication adherence, patient counselling, drug information services, monitoring adverse drug reactions, monitoring medication errors and drug related problems, clinical research. He has guided 22 Pharm. D. students and 2 M. Pharm students in their research work. He is involved in the training and placement cell of Chitkara College of Pharmacy. He has delivered various expert sessions in the field of clinical pharmacy at various institutions. He is currently pursuing his Ph. D. at Chitkara University, Punjab.

Dr. SUMIT SHARMA, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences – Pharmaceutics), Ph. D.
He has expertise in dealing with proteins, bioactives and nano-technology based novel targeted drug delivery systems. In addition to this he holds a post graduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights as well as in Statistics. He owns to his profile many publications in high impact journals and reputed publishing groups like Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Tata McGraw Hills, Springer, Bentham and CBS publishers. Also he has presented his research findings in many National and International conferences both in house and overseas. He is a recognized reviewer of Elsevier journals (Materials Science and Engineering: C and Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal). He has also been a profound Formulation Scientist in India’s one of the leading sterile research and development pharmaceutical industry at Sentiss Pharma Private Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, India. He is an active member of Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association, Association of Pharmacy Professionals and Pharmacy Council of India. Dr. Sumit Sharma regularly teaches Pharmaceutical technology, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Toxicokinetics, Biostatistics, Pharmaceutical microbiology, Pharmacovigilance and Intellectual Property Rights.

He has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduates for more than 4 years. He was awarded Young Scientist award from Baba Farid University, Faridkot for his research work in 2014. Recently he was awarded for research excellence award under the category of Best researcher awardee of Pharmacy School for year 2019 from Chitkara University, Punjab. He had completed his Ph.D research work as Ph.D research trainee partly from esteemed institute of Cellular Transplant Immunology, Department of Molecular and Cellular Medicine, Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi, India. He has working experience of Junior and Senior research scholar in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala and Department of Experimental Medicine and Biotechnology, PGIMER, Chandigarh respectively. He has 20 research and review article in international journals with citation index of 202. Recently he has published one book entitled Drug abuse: Prevention and Management for the undergraduate students of all streams. He has long term interest in pursuing work in the field of Hepatology and development of animal models of diabetes and liver injury.

Ms. VANDANA, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

She carries a professional experience of 12 years in academics. She has guided five B. Pharm students in their elective projects. She was also associated with Dr. Reddy’s classes from 2015-2017 and taught subjects related to pharmacy and industry. She won second prize in paper presentation titled TLC Fingerprint Profiles of Cassia angustifolia in 2018 organized by APTI (PUNJAB). Her area of specialization is standardization of plant extracts and their formulations. Presently she is pursuing her Ph. D. at Chitkara University, Punjab. She is life member of SPER, APTI and PCI. She has written paper on phytosomes a potential carrier for herbal drugs in American Journal of Pharm Tech Research 2013.

Ms. SHAREEN SINGH, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

M. Pharm (Pharmacology), Pursuing Ph. D.
She carries professional experience of 2 years in Academics and Research. She has published 6 papers in International Journals, 2 Industrial Patents and 1 Book on Pathophysiology for Pharmacy graduate students. She has an expertization of in-vitro & in-vivo preclinical studies of CNS disorders, nephrotoxicity and diabetes mellitus
