Chitkara College of Education, Chitkara University, Punjab, conducted a two days Masterclass on “Creative & Analytical Skill Enhancement on Effective Report Writing” as per the New Education Policy, point no-4.35, SDG-4, Quality Education and it comes under the B.Ed. and M.Ed. modules-EDValue and ADVANCED ED Researcher respectively.

The Resource Person for the masterclass was Hitesh Kumar Gulati, Founder, DiversityAce Business Consulting Human Capital Transformation & Change Management Consultant. He is an expertise in this subject and the learning outcomes are to develop cognitive skills, cultivate logical and creative thinking, apply theory into practice, foster team building and mental resilience. The session was on a hybrid model and heterogeneous groups of Alpha Teachers and Alpha Masters were made for giving assignments followed by evaluation. It was an immense learning experience and a very effective session.

The National Education Policy (NEP), lays particular emphasis on the development of the creative potential of each individual. It is based on the principle that education must develop not only cognitive capacities – both the ‘foundational capacities’ of literacy and numeracy and ‘higher-order cognitive capacities, such as critical thinking and problem-solving– but also social, ethical, and emotional capacities and dispositions. A high-quality education is the bedrock of long-term development and, by extension, the Sustainable Development Goals. Education, as a policy intervention, is a force multiplier that promotes self-sufficiency, stimulates economic growth by improving skills, and improves people’s lives by providing possibilities for better livelihoods.

In addition, the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals call for all boys and girls to complete primary and secondary school, as well as equitable access to opportunities for excellent technical and vocational education for everyone. Policy interventions will be required to improve access and quality while also addressing significant impediments such as gender disparities, food poverty, and armed conflict.
