Dr. Madhu Chitkara Strengthens International Academic Ties at THE World Academic Summit

Chitkara University continues to reinforce its presence on the global academic stage, as Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, represented the University at the Austrian Dinner hosted by H.E. Dr. Oskar Wüstinger, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria. The exclusive gathering took place on the sidelines of the Times Higher Education (THE) World Academic Summit 2025, held at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
The event brought together an exceptional assembly of leaders, educators, and researchers from around the world who are driving innovation and shaping the future of higher education. Among the distinguished attendees were Dominik Reisner from the Austrian Ministry for Women, Science and Research (BMBWF); Prof. Thomas Monz, Quantum Physicist at the University of Innsbruck; Dr. Levente Kovacs, Rector, Óbuda University, Hungary; and Dr. Tebelelo Mazile-Seretse, Chancellor, University of Botswana.
The evening provided a meaningful platform for dialogue on the evolving landscape of global academia, emphasising the need for stronger international collaborations, interdisciplinary research, and the integration of innovation into educational frameworks. During her interaction with global thought leaders, Dr. Madhu Chitkara highlighted Chitkara University’s sustained efforts in building cross-border partnerships that advance research, encourage cultural exchange, and equip students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
