Chitkara Students
Do you think studying is only about working hard, attending lectures and late night studies? Really? Think again as our students think otherwise. Chitkara University students are attending a summer school program in Paris, France, at EPITA – Graduate School of Computer Science – one of the most prestigious Grande Ecoles in France.
The students shared their experiences with us. They believe this has by far been one of the best opportunities for them to deepen their knowledge, making great use of the resources of France’s most esteemed school of computer science.
One of the students said, “The five-week program is designed to enable us spend our summer vacations in a unique way by letting us travel and learn at the same time. I would like to thank my university back home, Chitkara University, for allowing me to participate in this wonderful expedition.”
Another student added, “Paris is one of the world’s leading business and cultural centers. The city has great influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and arts not only in Europe but in the entire world. We are making the most of this opportunity by exploring Paris by visiting museums and monuments that are considered among highest-esteemed attractions of the city. So far, we have visited the graciously preserved medieval period cathedrals i.e. the Notre Dame de Paris and the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur as well as Paris’ most famous monument i.e. The Eiffel Tower, which receives over six million visitors per year.”
Students asserted that the best part of this opportunity is an amalgamation of diverse cultures as they get a chance to soak in other cultures and lifestyles by exchanging knowledge and viewpoints with other participants from various countries.
Besides traveling to several places of interest in Paris, students are enjoying their interactive sessions with French professors and expert advisers at EPITA.
Apart from their technical course, students said that they are also being taught a French language course and a course on Team Building and Getting over Culture Shock.
