In 2005-2006, George Brown College (GBC), Toronto, Canada and Chitkara Educational Trust (Chitkara), Chandigarh, India unified and articulated their vision, mission, and values into a promise
to provide exceptional international learning opportunities for Indian students while broadening the horizon for Canadian students.
The collaboration between George Brown College and Chitkara is an effort to provide parents and students in India with a high quality and financially viable alternative for a global education. The international exposure that students will gain is an important advantage in a global economy, while industry will benefit directly from an increased supply of workplace-ready graduates. It is our commitment to our students, industry partners, and employers to provide the best academic resources, infrastructure, and faculty for these joint programs.
Our initiatives will raise the bar in connecting student learning and employer needs to prepare our graduates for rapidly booming job markets in India and Canada.

Through their interactions with each other, faculty and employers, students will exchange valuable insights and work together with companies from sectors that are critical to both the Indian and Canadian economies. Industry generally values graduates with practical experience in working with international peers, especially in a city as diverse as Toronto and we will make sure that each and every student enrolled in our programs is fully equipped to meet the challenges of their future workplace.
With our aspirations and your support, we look forward to continuing to build momentum to achieve and sustain a culture of unparalleled achievement within this partnership between George
Brown College and Chitkara Educational Trust.
