World’s Second LinkedIn Experience Zone inaugurated at Chitkara University
Chitkara University has inaugurated the LinkedIn Experience Zone on its campus, described as the world’s second such facility. The initiative is designed to provide students with structured access to digital career tools, professional networking support and skill development resources within the university environment.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Saba Karim, LinkedIn India Head for Public Sector, Education and Government, and Vibha Adlakha, Director, Customer Success, LinkedIn Talent Solutions for India and Japan. They were joined by Dr. Sandhir Sharma, Vice Chancellor; Col. Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Registrar; Harpreet Bhatia, Pro Vice Chancellor, HR; and Sumeer Walia, Vice President, Office of University Communications, Chitkara University.
Conceived as an interactive career hub, the LinkedIn Experience Zone enables students to build and refine their LinkedIn profiles with expert guidance. The facility provides access to AI-powered tools such as Roleplay Interview Prep and AI Career Coach, along with complimentary LinkedIn Learning courses that allow students to earn certifications in in-demand skills. Students can also record professional testimonials to document their academic and professional journeys.
The Experience Zone incorporates engagement-led activities, including spin-the-wheel challenges, flash mobs and QR-based scavenger hunts, aimed at encouraging participation and familiarising students with LinkedIn’s features and tools.
During the event, the LinkedIn team felicitated ten LinkedIn Campus Ambassadors who will lead professional engagement initiatives across the campus and at the Experience Zone.
Aligned with LinkedIn’s stated mission to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce, the initiative forms part of Chitkara University’s ongoing efforts to integrate industry-oriented platforms into the academic ecosystem and strengthen student employability through structured exposure to professional networks and learning resources.
