Workshop on generation and use of solar energy

Budding engineers of Chitkara University experienced a workshop on ‘Generation and use of Solar Energy’. The workshop was held in the premises of The Institution of Engineers (India), Punjab & Chandigarh State Centre.

Priyanka Saini, Kirandeep Kaur Kamboj and Sonali Sharma, final-year students of Electrical Engineering, were invited as student speakers. These students gave presentations on the projects being made by them in their final semester based on solar energy.

Priyanka Saini presented the project ‘Solar Lounge’, Kirandeep Kaur Kamboj presented the project ‘Solar Powered Automatic Lawn Mower’ and Sonali Sharma presented the project ‘Solar Water Purifier’.

Around 50 student members of I.E.I. (CSE), fourth semester, participated in the function, along with faculty members Ms. Anu Singla. Er. A.S. Bakshi, Chairman and Er. P.S. Bhogal, Honorary Secretary, I.E. (I), Punjab and Chandigarh State Centre, felicitated the students with mementos and certificates and applauded their performances and project work.
