Karwa Chauth Brings Joy and Tradition to the Campus

On 8th October 2025, Chitkara University, Punjab, celebrated Karwa Chauth with the vibrant Festive Courtyard event, organised by the Office of Student Affairs. The courtyard transformed into a lively marketplace, with stalls overflowing with handcrafted accessories, home décor and delightful curiosities, each reflecting the imagination and effort of the students.
The festival buzzed with energy as Henna Haven showcased intricate designs, bangles shimmered, candles filled the air with fragrance, and vibrant fabrics painted the courtyard in waves of colour. Every stall offered something unique to admire, a story to hear or a charm to carry home. Faculty members joined the celebration, wandering among the stalls, laughing, chatting and appreciating the creativity on display.
Students demonstrated their crafts, shared their inspirations and invited interaction, making each stall a hub of activity and connection. The spirit of Karwa Chauth—devotion, love, and tradition was evident in every gesture and creation. As evening approached, laughter lingered and memories solidified. Festive Courtyard not only decorated the courtyard but also illuminated a moment of celebration that was vibrant, spirited and alive. The day left everyone with smiles, stories and a joyful reminder of the power of community and tradition.
