Journey of “Japneet Kaur” ECE Student from Chitkara University to Rajpath 2016
A girl from a humble background joined “Chitkara University” with high dreams in the year 2014 in ECE… Always had the ambition of joining the Indian Army, and got another opportunity of joining NCC in the year 2014 and getting a chance from the ATC Camp 96 held at Roop Nagar but was left back from 1 mark of becoming the Best Cadet …that developed a sense of competition as to why I cannot the best cadet and then from that day she decided to tune up herself.. then participated from the Patiala group best cadet competition and got success … there after got an opportunity of getting into RDC beginning the journey from inner cities of Punjab like Dhuri to Malaut and Ropar competing to achieve the award of the best cadet for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate and also prepared herself for the Rajpath Selection.
She has participated in all the Best cadet competitions, NIAP (National integration awareness program ),YEP(Youth exchange program) and also in the selection procedure for Rajpath. Not an easy attempt to go through 7 times continuous drill with continuous hard work of 20 days and finally walked with pride on Rajpath for the Girls contingent of 147 cadets selected from all over the world representing her directorate, her family & her University. She was honoured by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor and International Guest at University Campus.
