Gold and Bronze medals lifted by students in the 55th National Roller Skating Championship 2017-2018 at Kurukshetra

Our students brought laurels by winning Gold and Bronze medals in the 55th National Roller Skating Championship 2017-2018 at Kurukshetra.

Balkirat Singh Rangi from ME fourth semester won the gold in Senior Men (Inline) category while Rohan Sharma from CSE sixth semester and Kartik Sharma from MCA second semester won the bronze medal in Senior Men (Quad) category in the 55th National Roller Skating Championship 2017-2018 held at Kurukshetra.

Sports form a substantial part of the curriculum at Chitkara University and skating is no exception. We are happy that our students are taking up sports like skating etc. which are not widely followed in India. We believe that sports inculcate discipline and a sense of pride in students, which is important in life. Balkirat, Rohan and Kartik are our shining stars and despite tough competition, which was neck to neck, they managed to get gold and bronze medal, which in itself is a great achievement. Amidst several participants with exceptional skills, Chitkara students made it big and we appreciate their hard work and spirit. Way to go boys!
