Expert Talk on Software Testing speaks of new avenues, scope

An Expert Talk on Software Testing was organised by CSI Student Chapter under the aegis of Department of Computer Applications. More than 100 students attended the highly informative session. Mr. Vipul Kocher, President, Indian Testing Board, and Mr. Mohnesh Bakshi, ISTQB Process Management & Compliance WG Member, interacted with the students and shared the possibilities & potential of software testing as a career for them.

Mr. Mohnesh Bakshi informed the students about the various certifications offered by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB). During his interaction with the students, Mr. Vipul Kocher spoke about the various career opportunities that are generally pursued by computer graduates and urged them to consider software testing as a serious career choice. Mr. Vipul also spoke about his journey in the software industry, and his successful transition from software development to software testing.
The talk was organised as a part of a series of similar activities aimed at bringing awareness amongst the budding software professionals regarding the various avenues that are worth pursuing as a career.

The expert talk concluded with the felicitation of the speakers by Dr. Jaiteg Singh, Dean, Department of Computer Applications, Chitkara University.
