Dr Meenakshi Sood from CSHS bags second prize at AIIMS Optometry Explorer
Dr Meenakshi Sood, Head, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, represented Chitkara University at the Healthcare Conference held at India’s premier healthcare institute the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, from Jan 18-20, 2017, titled the AIIMS Optometry Explorer.
She presented a poster on “Responsiveness of Health System – Is There a Discrimination?” and bagged second prize.
The event was conducted by optometry students’ organization that focused on encouraging optometry students, practitioners, researches, clinicians, scientists and medical fraternity to share knowledge, work experience as well as carrier opportunities and latest advancements in field of optometry and ophthalmology through this event, which was a part of the various workshops, seminars, symposiums, sports events and conferences. Dr Sood’s poster got widespread applause as she had discussed all the nuances in detail and in a systematic manner.
Apart from the outstanding scientific program, exhibition, and cultural events, the conference also provided an excellent opportunity to forge new relationships with professionals and various students across the country. Dr Sood interacted with known names in optometry and the event turned out to be of immense exposure for her.
