Chitkara University strengthened its presence on the national academic stage as Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, delivered the Keynote Address at the 6th Edition of the CII Northern Region EduSummit 2025, hosted at the prestigious Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali. The summit brought together higher education leaders, policymakers and industry experts to discuss the evolving landscape of education, with a strong emphasis on global engagement and aligned academic strategies.

Representing Chitkara University, Dr. Madhu Chitkara addressed the audience on the theme of Internationalisation and Cross-Border Learning, highlighting how the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has opened new pathways for Indian institutions by encouraging global academic collaborations, co-created curriculum models, joint degrees and enhanced student and faculty mobility. She discussed the importance of embracing digital education, virtual classrooms and hybrid learning platforms to expand the reach of quality education beyond geographical limits.

During the panel discussion, Dr. Madhu Chitkara shared insights on how universities must prepare students not only with knowledge but with intercultural exposure and adaptability to navigate global work environments. She also referred to the growing relevance of academic partnerships with international universities, which support research initiatives and create opportunities for students to experience global academic standards while studying in India. She added that well-structured international alliances help universities benchmark their practices with global standards and equip students for international employment markets.

Dr. Chitkara also outlined Chitkara University’s ongoing efforts to build a strong academic network across continents while aligning its institutional vision with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
