Every year weeklong celebrations and events from 19th-25th November are held by various Institutions and Organisations all over India to promote and protect its incredible natural and cultural (man-made, built) heritage.

The Heritage Week is especially dedicated to the youth who act as ambassadors and advocates of our heritage, carrying the message of its value to students of schools and colleges.

A group of dedicated and concerned students despite their gruelling end-semester schedule made a special effort to organise two exhibitions to highlight the significance and carry out an awareness-building campaign to advance the cause of heritage protection (our bounden duty as citizens of India as enshrined in our Constitution)

1. Around 25 A2-sized posters / visual essays on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India, and,
2. The results of a photography competition focussing on the value and present state of historic places in India

The Exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. I J S Bakshi and Professor SS Bais, Dean and Principal of Chitkara school of Planning and Architecture Faculty involved in the event include Prof. Niyati Jigyasu, Ar. Damanpreet Chugh & Ar. Suman Dass.
