Chitkara School of Hospitality and Chitkara School of Planning & Architecture tops charts in GHRDC Survey 2022

Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture has been ranked 1st in India in the category of ‘Top Architecture Colleges of Excellence’ and 2nd in the Northern Region in the list of ‘Top Architecture Colleges’ by Global Human Resource Development Centre’s (GHRDC) Architecture College Survey 2022 and Chitkara School of Hospitality has been ranked 7th in India in ‘Top Private Hotel Management Institutes of Super Excellence’; 2nd in Northern Region and 1st in Punjab among ‘Top Private Hotel Management Institutes’ by GHRDC Hotel Management Institutes Survey 2022.

GHRDC is a research-based organisation, which is a pioneer in the concept and practice of rating and ranking B-Schools from the time of its inception and has been involved in rating and ranking B-Schools in India since 1998. In 2007, the Survey and Ranking of Hotel Management Institutes were launched, followed by the Engineering College Survey in 2009. Over the last eight years, over 5000 faculty members, 10,000 students, and over 300 directors of various institutes have visited and interacted with them at over 250 business schools, 100 hotel management institutes, and over 100 engineering colleges. The ranking is based on a number of parameters including Infrastructure (Physical and Academic), Faculty, Publication, Research, Consultancy, CDP and other programmes, admission, curriculum and delivery system, placements, USPs and social responsibility and networking and industry interface.

Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture scored a total of 636.64 out of 1000, while Chitkara School of Hospitality scored a total of 1030.18 out of 1450 in the GHRDC Survey 2022. Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture and Chitkara School of Hospitality were also ranked best in the GHRDC survey last year, but this year the overall score has improved even more.

Chitkara’s architecture department is known for its infrastructure, which includes state-of-the-art design studios, multimedia laboratories, audio-visual laboratories, lecture halls, a one-of-a-kind materials museum, and a library packed with books and reference material. Chitkara University’s courses are known for their innovative teaching, strong industry connections, and highly employable alumni.
