Chitkara University continues to make strides in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, with its student-led startup Syntara Tech earning a place among the Top 10 Winning Teams at the highly competitive SBI Youth Ideathon 2025. Held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, the event was a grand convergence of ideas, drawing over 2,000 participating teams and more than 45,000 young minds from across India. Organised by ThinkStartup, the ideathon celebrated ingenuity, real-world relevance, and the entrepreneurial spirit of India’s youth.

Harshit Gupta, Raghav Goel, Harshdeep Singh, Ramanjot Singh, Suhani Verma, and Shivam Aggarwal—all driven, forward-thinking students of Chitkara University—formed the core team behind Syntara Tech. Their groundbreaking idea was not only technologically sound but also socially conscious, earning accolades from a distinguished jury comprising startup mentors, industry experts, and business leaders. The team’s ability to combine innovative thinking with practical execution impressed the panel and firmly established them as a force to be reckoned with in India’s growing innovation landscape.

The competition gave the students a unique opportunity to present their solution on a national platform, putting their creativity, teamwork, and technical capabilities to the test. Their project stood out for its relevance, feasibility, and potential to scale — traits that reflect the robust academic training and industry exposure they have received at Chitkara University. The team’s performance illustrated the university’s commitment to experiential learning, where students are encouraged to think beyond textbooks and contribute meaningfully to society.

Adding another feather to Chitkara’s cap, Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, was recognised as one of the Top 10 Mentors in India by ThinkStartup. His steadfast guidance, mentorship, and deep involvement in nurturing student talent were instrumental in the team’s success, reinforcing the pivotal role of faculty in shaping future innovators.

Chitkara University takes immense pride in the accomplishments of its students and faculty at the SBI Youth Ideathon 2025. This recognition not only underscores the university’s excellence in education and innovation but also strengthens its mission to build a new generation of problem solvers, entrepreneurs, and leaders who are ready to shape the future.
