Chitkara University Students Recreate Iconic Characters at Mimicry Event

The Office of Student Affairs at Chitkara University organised a mimicry competition, bringing students together for an evening of humour and performance. The event featured a series of character portrayals presented before a live audience on campus.

Participants recreated well-known fictional and cinematic personalities, including Shinchan, Mr. Bean and Raju from Hera Pheri, along with portrayals of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. Through voice modulation, expressions and stage presence, students sought to capture the distinctive traits of these characters, keeping the audience engaged with their comic timing and delivery.

The competition provided a structured platform for students to explore mimicry as a performing art, encouraging observation, spontaneity and confidence beyond the classroom.
