Chitkara University Strengthens Indo-Australian Academic Ties Through Media Dialogue
In a significant stride towards advancing international academic cooperation and innovation, representatives from Chitkara School of Mass Communication, Chitkara University, engaged in a high-level dialogue with Dr. S. Janakiraman, Consul General of India in Sydney. The meeting took place during a prestigious event hosted by Western Sydney University, Australia, under the banner of the Australian Awards Fellowship Programme—an initiative supported by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Dr. Ashutosh Mishra, Dean, Chitkara School of Mass Communication; Dr Gitanjali Kalia, Associate Professor; and Dr Ripudaman Singh, Assistant Professor, represented Chitkara University as part of a collaborative project focused on promoting Digital Media Innovation and Sustainability across the South Pacific and South East Asian regions. The interaction with the Consul General provided a valuable platform to brief him on the scope and progress of the fellowship project, which aims to strengthen digital media ecosystems by addressing challenges related to accessibility, ethical reporting, and environmental sustainability in digital content production.
