Chitkara University Strengthens Global Standing in THE Impact Rankings 2026
Chitkara University has once again reinforced its commitment to sustainable development with an outstanding performance in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, one of the world’s leading assessments of universities’ contributions towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Recognised for excellence in education, research, innovation, industry collaboration and community engagement, Chitkara University has been ranked #10 in India and placed in the 201–300 global band in the Overall THE Impact Rankings 2026. The University also achieved remarkable recognition across multiple Sustainable Development Goals, securing #3 in India and #77 globally for SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production), #5 in India and the 101–200 global band for SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), #6 in India and the 101–200 global band for SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure), #7 in India and the 101–200 global band for SDG 13 (Climate Action) and #9 in India and #90 globally for SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation).
The rankings highlights the University’s holistic approach to sustainability, where responsible practices are integrated into academics, research, innovation and everyday campus operations.
