Chitkara University is participating as an Associate Partner at the AI Impact Summit 2026, being held from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The summit convenes policymakers, industry leaders, technology innovators, and academic experts to deliberate on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in reshaping economies, governance systems, and societal frameworks. As a global platform for dialogue and collaboration, the event focuses on responsible AI, data governance, machine learning applications, public policy integration, and the future of work in an AI-driven economy.

As part of its engagement, Chitkara University is also a Collaborative Partner at the Jan AI Pavilion, a distinctive initiative highlighting inclusive and grassroots AI adoption across rural India. Centered on the theme that “India’s AI story is being written in its villages,” the Pavilion presents a live ecosystem where artificial intelligence is experienced through real-world impact rather than theoretical discourse. Rural youth, women, and community leaders demonstrate how AI is being leveraged for livelihoods, agricultural innovation, skill development, entrepreneurship, and local problem-solving.

The Pavilion brings together over 25 impact partners spanning academia, government agencies, multilateral organizations, AI startups, and civil society institutions. It serves as a collaborative platform to address critical questions surrounding equitable access to technology: how to bridge the digital divide, design AI systems rooted in dignity and inclusion, and ensure that technological advancement expands opportunity rather than deepens inequality. A key highlight includes the Youth AI Aspirations Report (YouGRAF), synthesising insights from more than 3,000 rural youth to understand their aspirations, concerns, and lived experiences with AI. The Village Intelligence Archives further document authentic AI adoption journeys across agriculture, entrepreneurship, public services, and local governance.

Chitkara University’s participation reflects its sustained commitment to embedding artificial intelligence into the core of higher education. The University has strategically integrated AI across its academic ecosystem through industry-aligned curricula, experiential learning modules, interdisciplinary research initiatives, and global collaborations. Students develop competencies in machine learning, data analytics, intelligent automation, and ethical AI frameworks, enabling them to address complex challenges across healthcare, finance, manufacturing, education, and smart urban systems.

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, remarked, “Participation in the AI Impact Summit 2026 reinforces our commitment to aligning academic excellence with emerging global technologies. Artificial intelligence is redefining every sector, and universities must serve as catalysts in preparing responsible innovators and leaders. Our engagement at this summit enables us to bring global insights into our classrooms and research centres, ensuring that our students are equipped not only with technical expertise but also with an understanding of the ethical and societal dimensions of AI.”

Engagement at the Summit provides valuable exposure to emerging technological trends, policy deliberations, and innovation strategies shaping the AI landscape. By contributing to both the AI Impact Summit 2026 and the Jan AI Pavilion, Chitkara University reaffirms its vision of advancing technological excellence alongside social responsibility, strengthening inclusive innovation, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and the development of future-ready professionals equipped to shape an equitable and sustainable AI ecosystem.
