Chitkara University Signs MoU with JAN AI to Support Inclusive AI Innovation

Chitkara University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JAN AI, a flagship initiative of the Head Held High Foundation, to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and wider access to Artificial Intelligence. The agreement was signed at TiECON Chandigarh in the presence of Madan Padaki, Founder of JAN AI, and Piyush Garg, Vice President, Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Development (CEED), along with senior representatives from both organisations.

The partnership aims to expand access to AI through training programs, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives for students and underserved communities. It also includes the JAN AI Rural Internship Program, which will give students practical experience in addressing real-world challenges. In addition, a Rural AI Incubator will be set up to support student-led ventures in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The MoU also focuses on joint research in AI for social impact and rural development. Through this collaboration, both organisations will work on AI-based solutions in areas such as agriculture, livelihoods, financial inclusion, and governance, helping address practical challenges at the community level.

This partnership supports Chitkara University’s ongoing efforts to integrate emerging technologies into education, encourage entrepreneurship, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
