Chitkara University signs MoU with GEC Ambikapur for Academic and Research Collaboration

Chitkara University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government Engineering College (GEC), Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, to support academic and research collaboration, with a focus on exploring the use of artificial intelligence in mining and related areas.

The partnership brings together GEC Ambikapur’s expertise in mining engineering and Chitkara University’s strengths in artificial intelligence, technology development and interdisciplinary research. The two institutions will explore applications of AI in mining and related fields.

The MoU provides opportunities for joint research, faculty and student engagement, technical training, skill development, capacity-building programs and knowledge exchange. These activities will provide a platform for academic and technical interaction between the two institutions.

The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Khosla, Pro Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University and Prof. R. N. Khare, Principal, Government Engineering College, Ambikapur.

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder, Chitkara University, said, “Collaboration between institutions with expertise in different disciplines allows faculty and students to approach academic and research areas from different perspectives. This MoU provides opportunities to work together in areas where artificial intelligence and mining engineering can contribute to academic and research activities.”

The agreement establishes a framework for academic interaction between the two institutions, particularly in mining engineering, artificial intelligence, technology development, research and skill development.
