Chitkara University Signs Global Academic MoU with 62 Universities in Taiwan

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, represented both the university and India at the 6th HLU Annual Conference and WURI 2026 hosted by National Chi Nan University, joining leading universities and academic leaders from across the world for discussions on innovation, research, Artificial Intelligence, and the future of higher education.
The conference brought together institutions actively shaping new approaches to higher education through research-led learning, global collaboration, and emerging technologies. During the event, Chitkara University received recognition in the WURI Rankings 2026 across multiple categories, reflecting the university’s continued focus on innovation-driven academic practices and institutional development.
During her interactions at the conference, Dr. Madhu Chitkara shared the university’s academic and innovation-led initiatives with participating institutions, several of whom expressed interest in future collaborations and academic exchange opportunities.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “Global academic engagement has become increasingly important for universities looking to create meaningful research partnerships and stronger learning opportunities for students. Conferences such as these allow institutions to exchange ideas, learn from different academic systems, and build collaborations that can create long-term academic value.”
Further strengthening the university’s international engagement, Dr. Chitkara signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Chi Nan University. She also joined the signing of a Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding involving 62 universities to encourage collaborative research, academic exchange, and international partnerships.
Professor (Dr.) Dong Sung Cho, Founder of WURI Rankings and Honorary President of HLU, acknowledged the leadership of Dr. Madhu Chitkara and appreciated her contributions towards academic excellence, research, innovation, and advancements in Artificial Intelligence.
The conference marked another important step in Chitkara University’s expanding international academic engagement and its continued participation in global conversations shaping higher education and research.
