
Chitkara University has secured the 3rd position in India for Research Quality in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027. The University has also been placed 17th in India Overall and in the 701–800 global band.
The Research Quality ranking recognises the University’s performance in research and reflects its continued focus on advancing knowledge and strengthening its research ecosystem.
Commenting on the ranking, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder, Chitkara University, said, “Research quality is closely linked to the strength of an academic institution. Our focus has been on building an environment where research is pursued with academic rigour and contributes meaningfully to knowledge and society. This recognition provides an opportunity to reflect on the work undertaken across the University and the responsibility that comes with it.”
The University’s position in the 2027 rankings places research alongside its overall standing in India and globally. The results provide a view of Chitkara University’s position across the parameters covered by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027.
