Chitkara University participates in FICCI Higher Education Mission to Taiwan

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University, represented the university at the Taiwan leg of the FICCI-led Higher Education Mission. She was accompanied by Hazel Siromoni, Pro Vice Chancellor (Strategic Initiatives). The visit aimed to explore collaboration with universities and industry partners in research, student exchange, and innovation-led education.

Meetings were held with National Tsing Hua University, Taipei Medical University, National Taipei University of Technology, Shih Chien University, and Fu Jen Catholic University to discuss areas of common academic interest and possible joint initiatives.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said the mission provided a useful platform for universities to engage in dialogue and build partnerships that support research and student learning across borders.

The visit also included a meeting with Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC), which offered insights into Taiwan’s semiconductor industry and how collaboration with industry can inform academic programs.

Discussions with the India Taipei Association focused on ways to strengthen academic and innovation links between India and Taiwan.

The visit reflects Chitkara University’s ongoing efforts to grow international academic partnerships and support teaching, research, and student mobility.
