Chitkara University organises Educational Visit to Fatehgarh Sahib on World Heritage Day

On the occasion of World Heritage Day, Chitkara University organised an educational visit for students to Fatehgarh Sahib, aimed at enhancing their understanding of historical and cultural heritage.
The visit included Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib, associated with the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s younger sons, as well as Gurdwara Jyoti Swaroop, where the Sahibzadas were cremated. Students also visited Thanda Burj, linked to Mata Gujri Ji.
Through the visit, students were introduced to aspects of Sikh history, including themes of courage and resilience. Refreshments were arranged during the programme.
The initiative is part of the university’s approach to extending classroom learning through experiential exposure to historical sites.
