Chitkara University Marks World Health Day with Health Camp

The National Service Scheme (NSS), in collaboration with the Chitkara School of Health Sciences, organised a free health screening camp in Ramnagar, one of its adopted villages, to mark World Health Day.

In line with the World Health Day theme, “Together for Health. Stand with Science”, the camp aimed to improve access to essential healthcare services in the village. It offered basic health services such as blood pressure and blood sugar checks for hypertension and diabetes, haemoglobin testing for anaemia, eye check-ups, and body mass index assessments.

Free medicines were provided to patients diagnosed with anaemia. They were also given guidance and advice for follow-up care to help manage their health conditions.

Such initiatives reflect the university’s continued efforts to connect academic learning with community service, particularly in the area of public health.
