Chitkara University joins Association of the Universities of Asia and Pacific
It is a matter of immense pride and honour that we are now the Esteemed Member of AUAP (Association of the Universities of Asia and Pacific) formed in the year 1995 with its Head Office at Thailand that has a member strength of 150 and has consultative rights as that of UNESCO.
The Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), holding the highest formal consultative status with UNESCO. Its primary purpose is to be the main platform for interaction and collaboration between members, and to be the effective voice of universities in Asia and the Pacific region. The primary mission of AUAP is to promote a culture of quality, innovation and research in the Higher Education Sectors in the Asia and the Pacific region.
By becoming the Esteemed Member of AUAP, it will give us access to world class excellence and quality through academic endeavors and exchanges, professional training and the skilling for students. This prestigious membership will also be beneficial for the university leadership, the staff and the management teams.
AUAP will assist Chitkara University to build important relationships in the Asia Pacific region as well as internationally, and will provide its vast knowledge repository and outreach to greatly enhance the reach and reputation of the university. Importantly, AUAP has developed exchange and industry immersion programs, international competitions and cultural exchanges like sports activities that greatly enhances the students’ international exposure and experiences. This, in turn, increases their employability prospects in the future.
