Chitkara University incubated start-ups raise funding during Digital India Week 2022

Ltd.’ and 80 Wash LLP, start-ups incubated at Chitkara University have raised funding of Rs 80 Lakhs from the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, under TIDE 2.0 Scale-up investment scheme at Digital India Week 2022. Digital India Week 2022 was organized at Gandhinagar, Gujrat from July 4th, 2022 to July 10th, 2022.

The July 4th to 9th weeklong event commemorated the path-breaking journey of the flagship initiative of the Digital India Programme that was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India boasts more than 73000 businesses and 100+ unicorns thanks to the significant tailwinds generated by the Digital India programme and subsequent efforts. Six months into 2022, 17 firms with a combined valuation of $ 22 billion have joined the unicorn club, breaking the record of 44 that was set in the landmark year of 2021 despite the Covid onslaught. During the event, entrepreneurs of 6DOF Pvt. Ltd and 80 Wash LLP got the opportunity to pitch their ideas and interact with Unicorns like Varun Khaitan, CEO- Urban Company, Harsimarbir Singh, Founder – Pristyn Care, Gazal & Varun Alagh, Founders – MamaEarth, Rahul Chari, Founder – PhonePe. They also interacted with Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and talked about the initiatives taken by the Chitkara University in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
