Chitkara University inaugurates Centre for Data Visualisation and AI Excellence

Chitkara University has inaugurated the Centre for Data Visualization & AI Excellence Powered by Tableau to provide students, faculty and researchers with hands-on experience in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data visualisation. The Centre was inaugurated in the presence of Harish Venkatachalam, Regional Vice President, Salesforce and Dr. Cavita Taragi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Career Advancement Services, Head of Placements & Industry Partnerships, Chitkara University.

The Centre will support experiential learning by helping learners work with complex datasets and develop skills in analysis, decision-making, business intelligence, and data storytelling.

A key feature of the Centre is Tableau Pulse, Tableau’s AI-powered analytics experience, which provides personalised metrics, natural-language insights and data-driven recommendations. It will enable students and researchers to interact with data more intuitively, track key performance indicators in real time and use AI-generated insights to support analysis and decision-making.
