Chitkara University Hosts Session on Startup Evaluation and Founder Mindset

The Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) at Chitkara University hosted a session on startup development with Anil Joshi, Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures. The event brought together students and aspiring entrepreneurs to understand how early-stage startups are assessed and built.
Drawing on his experience in angel investing and venture capital, Anil Joshi explained how investors evaluate emerging ventures, emphasising clarity of thought, disciplined execution, and the ability to manage uncertainty over the strength of an initial idea. He also outlined early indicators of potential and key red flags that may influence investor decisions.
The interactive session included questions on funding, founder decision-making, and long-term viability, offering participants a practical view of the startup ecosystem.
The session is part of the centre’s ongoing efforts to connect students with industry practitioners and strengthen engagement with real-world entrepreneurial processes.
