Chitkara University Honoured with the ‘Pioneer Startup Ecosystem of the Year’ Award by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab

Chitkara University has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Pioneer Startup Ecosystem of the Year’ award, recognising its exceptional contribution to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in India. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, along with Sh. Arvind Kumar, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and TiE.

This honour acknowledges Chitkara University’s robust startup ecosystem, which has been instrumental in promoting early-stage innovation, fostering a problem-solving culture, and enabling students and faculty to transform ideas into impactful ventures. Chitkara University’s initiatives—ranging from structured incubation and mentorship programs to startup accelerators and industry partnerships—have created a thriving environment for budding entrepreneurs.

Through dedicated platforms like the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Development (CEED), the University empowers startups with the resources, guidance, and exposure required to scale and succeed in today’s competitive landscape. Numerous student-led and faculty-driven ventures emerging from Chitkara have gone on to make meaningful contributions across sectors including healthcare, sustainability, deep tech, and education.
