Chitkara University DebSoc Shines Bright as Best Delegation at Thapar MUN 2025
Chitkara University proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement as its Debating Society (DebSoc), representing the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, was crowned Best Delegation at the prestigious Thapar Model United Nations (MUN) 2025. Held in a vibrant atmosphere teeming with intellectual rigour and spirited diplomacy, the event saw participants from leading institutions across the country.
Chitkara University’s delegates didn’t just make their presence felt — they took centre stage, demonstrating exceptional skills in public speaking, research, and negotiation. With a blend of purpose-driven dialogue, analytical depth, and persuasive diplomacy, the team showcased the academic and intellectual calibre that Chitkara University nurtures in its students.
Leading the accolades was Alisha Vashisht (CSE), who was awarded Best Delegate in the All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM) for her outstanding articulation and strategic insight.
Complementing her success were stellar performances from Paarth Prasher (CCP), Divkeerat Singh (DMCE), Sai Lohith DVS (CSE), Jaskaran Singh (CSE AI), and Ajitesh Sharma (CSE), all of whom earned Special Mentions for their impactful contributions across various committees. Additionally, Rijhul Kaushal and Aanandit Kanwar (both CSE) secured Verbal Mentions, further amplifying the university’s presence at the event.
