National Service Scheme (NSS), Chitkara University organised a week-long special camp focused on community engagement, psychological awareness, and personal development.

The camp brought together activities such as outreach in adopted villages, a donation drive, a Jan Jagrukta Rally, and a community mental health screening at Government School, Mori Khurd.
Students engaged in sessions on mental health, including stress, anxiety, and depression, along with music therapy, wellness counselling, leadership development, first aid training, and traditional art. Reflective discussions were conducted to help participants analyse their experiences.

It also addressed public health and social issues, including HIV/AIDS awareness, drug abuse prevention, legal literacy, nutrition, and menstrual health, alongside field visits that provided exposure to local community contexts.

The initiative is part of the university’s approach to integrating academic learning with community-based engagement, enabling students to gain practical exposure to social issues.
