Chitkara University celebrates Hindi Diwas with student open mic competition

The Office of Student Affairs, Chitkara University, organised an open mic competition titled ‘Swar: Bhasha Se Bhavishya Tak’ to mark Hindi Diwas. The event brought together students to express their thoughts and perspectives through poetry, shayari and prose.

The performances explored Hindi as a medium of creative expression, drawing on personal experiences, imagination, observations and emotions. The open mic format allowed participants to engage with the language beyond its conventional academic context through varied forms of literary expression.

Participants were recognised for their performances, with winners felicitated at the event.

The event formed part of Chitkara University’s cultural engagements, offering students an opportunity to celebrate Hindi through literary expression and appreciate its place in contemporary communication and culture.
