Chitkara University and Newgen Software Continue Longstanding Academic Partnership

Chitkara University has renewed its partnership with Newgen Software through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the third consecutive year. The agreement reinforces the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. The MoU was signed by Dr. Cavita Taragi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University.

The signing ceremony was attended by Alvin David, SCP-SHRM, Head of Campus Hiring and Employer Branding; Deepika Dutta Kapoor, Chief Design Officer at Newgen Software; Shivani Saini, Director, Career Advancement Services; and Prof. Gopal Meena, Vice President, Strategy Initiatives and Dean, Chitkara Design School.

Under this collaboration, the University and Newgen Software will continue to offer certification programs, Newgen-focused capsule courses, and skill-based learning opportunities. The partnership also includes seminars, hackathons, workshops, webinars, and panel discussions on emerging IT trends, Newgen domains, and innovation-led practices.

The agreement places emphasis on faculty development and shared learning. Faculty members from Chitkara’s UX–UI domain will work with Newgen teams at their offices, while experts from Newgen will guide academic researchers. The collaboration also includes Newgen’s involvement as academic advisors to learning and pedagogy councils, contributing to the development of industry-aligned curricula.

Through this continued partnership, Chitkara University aims to integrate academic learning with current industry practices and support students and faculty with exposure to evolving technological and professional environments.
