Chitkara University advances Wellbeing-Centred Education at QS I-GAUGE Conclave

New Delhi, December 18, 2025: Chitkara University continued its engagement with student well-being in higher education through participation in the QS I-GAUGE Institution of Happiness Conclave 2025 held in New Delhi. The university was represented by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, who joined a closed-door round table discussion that brought together senior academic leaders and experts to deliberate on emerging challenges affecting students across institutions.
The round table session titled “Preparing Gen Z to Manage Stress, Turbulence and the Future” addressed the growing pressures faced by young learners as they navigate academic expectations, digital environments and evolving career pathways. The discussion examined how universities can respond through thoughtful academic design and supportive institutional practices. Dr. Madhu Chitkara shared perspectives drawn from Chitkara University’s experience in building learning ecosystems that place student wellbeing alongside academic rigour.
During the deliberations, Dr. Madhu Chitkara spoke about the importance of inclusive and values-driven learning environments that help students develop resilience, emotional balance and adaptability. She noted that student wellbeing is shaped through consistent academic engagement, access to guidance and exposure to real-world contexts. Mentorship frameworks within universities, structured alumni engagement and sustained collaboration with industry were discussed as key elements that support students as they prepare for professional and personal responsibilities beyond campus.
