Chitkara Students Crack the First Round of IEEE Young Engineers’ Humanitarian Challenge (AIYEHUM-2014). Vernica Gupta and Vasudha – Third Year students of Chitkara School of Electronics and Communication Engineering have qualified the 1st round at IEEE Young Engineers’ Humanitarian Challenge (AIYEHUM-2014).

They proposed the project iGuide: Electronic Walking Aid for Visually Impaired. Students from all over Asia participated in the competition out of which 24 teams were shortlisted and their team is one of them and they have been provided the fund upto 250 USD to start the project.

AIYEHUM-2014 is a project-contest to encourage young scientists and engineers to solve real-world challenges applying science and technology. The contest aims at orienting young minds towards identifying community problems and developing technology solutions.

IEEE Student Chapter (Chitkara University) congratulates all the winners.
