The Chitkara Happiness Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Talent Management, hosted an enriching session titled “Resilience Toolkit: Lessons from One of the Happiest Countries in the World” for the faculty and staff of Chitkara University.

The session featured renowned speakers from Sweden—Gina Agaric, a Senior Executive Board Professional and happiness leadership advocate, and Cecilia Mortimer, a distinguished Leadership and Executive Coach. Drawing from Sweden’s globally admired model of happiness and well-being, the speakers shared practical tools and powerful insights centred around the key pillars of Society, Individual, and Organisation.

The societal lens highlighted Sweden’s strong safety nets like universal healthcare, education, and housing. On an individual level, participants explored concepts such as Allemansrätten (freedom to roam), Sisu (resilience with heart), and Hygge (cozy, balanced living). A calming Forest Bath Meditation offered a moment of reflection and connection with nature.

For the organisational pillar, a traditional Swedish Fika—a relaxed coffee-and-conversation break—was re-imagined as a collaborative exercise, where faculty and staff shared ideas to build happier, more resilient workplaces while enjoying cookies and warm dialogue.

The session blended global perspectives with meaningful engagement, reminding participants that resilience is not merely recovery—it’s about evolving with joy, community, and intention. It was an enriching and unforgettable experience for all involved.
