Chitkara Design School Students Recognised at Bhopal Film Festival

Students from the 2023 batch of the Department of Communication Design at Chitkara Design School have secured first position in the ‘Women’s Voices’ category at the Bhopal Film Festival for their short film Meow. Produced under the banner of Chitkara Design School, the film was directed by students Prachi Thakur and Gunjan Narula and developed as a student-led project.

The film was created by a team comprising Arushi Gupta, Pushkar, Sudipto, Shreya Sharma, Aryan Diwakar, Debaarti Dutta, Ritu, Savy Pramod, and Hardik Tiwari. The group worked across concept development, filming, and production to shape the narrative through a collective creative process.

Presented within the cultural and heritage setting of the Bhopal Film Festival, the recognition reflects the engagement of student filmmakers with socially relevant narratives explored through design and film.

The achievement highlights the emphasis at Chitkara University on integrating design education with practical storytelling, enabling students to present their work on wider creative platforms.
