Chitkara College of Education organises a two-day virtual Capacity Building & Training Workshop

Chitkara College of Education, Chitkara University organised a two-day virtual Capacity Building & Training Workshop, Teacher Training Programme under the aegis of The Climate Reality Project (TCRP) India on April 10th, 2021 and April 17th, 2021. The workshop was organised in collaboration with the Association of Professional Social Workers and Development Practitioners (APSWDP) In Special Consultative Status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and Associated with the Department of Global Communications (DGC) of the United Nations since 2019 Registered with NITI AAYOG (Former Planning Commission of India) and Affiliated Member of International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW). The workshop was conducted to celebrate World Earth Day ( April 22nd, 2021) and educated Alpha Teachers and faculty of CCE and Chitkara International School about climate change and global warming.

Some eminent speakers for the workshop were Mr.Vivek Trivedi, Founder, APSWDP and Hon. National Coordinator Climate Disasters, Poverty and Livelihoods, The Climate Reality Project India, Dr.Sumit Arora – President, APSWDP, Mr.Hitesh Kumar Gulati, Director General, APSWDP, Mr.Aditya Pundir, Director – India and South Asia at The Climate Reality Project India, Mr. Bhavesh Swami – Clean Energy Policy and Programs Manager, The Climate Reality Project (TCRP), India, Smt. Rekha Lalla, Programme Manager, The Climate Reality Project India (TCRP), Smt. Sheetal Antil, Program Manager, The Climate Reality Project India. It was a wonderful learning experience. The resource persons were not only subject expertise but also shared extremely informative, knowledgeable and interesting audio videos in their presentation which further inculcated more interest and triggered the minds of the audience to have a fruitful discussion. They motivated everyone to do their bit towards climate change. Association of Professional Social Workers & Development Practitioners (APSWDP) is a registered not for profit organization of professional social workers and development practitioners working in various social welfare domain across the country. Social issues like poverty, livelihood, health, education, water & sanitation, unemployment, disease control programme, urbanisation, youth issues of de-addiction and others have covered the whole gamut of government, development agencies and academic institutions.
