Brand fever soars at Brand O’holic

Chitkara School of Mass Communication organized a quiz on advertising ‘Brand O’holic’. How much we remember brands, its tag line, its logo, its ambassador, were the questions, which participants encountered during ‘Brand O’holic’ when they faced each other at Pulitzer Hall.

An event organized by students of MJMC final year, those who have opted Advertising as optional specialization, was well received in which around 70 teams of students and staff took part. The collection earned through entry fee was donated to the Jammu and Kashmir flood victims and the organizers appealed to the audience and society to come forward and donate generously for this cause.

The initial round was on paper followed by stills, audio and audio- visual rounds. Team ‘Melody’ comprising Ishaan Kumar & Ishwinder Pal Singh won the quiz and team ‘Kinder Joy’ comprising Sukhdeep Singh & Vidhi finished in the runner-up position. Special prize went to ‘Bazigar’ team in which Shubham and Tushar were members. Students worked under the guidance of their faculty Ms. Gitanjali Kalia and had a very innovative question bank.

Renowned folk and semi-classical singer Manak Ali gave away the prizes. He sang some of his compositions too, which was very well appreciated by the audience. Other music artistes like Hart Singh, Lucky Singh and Dimple Singh also performed. These artistes also recorded their programme on Radio Chitkara. Ms. Gurjeet Kaur took their interview for the program ‘Virse Di Bhukkal’.
