AIST Hosts Alumnus Gursimran Singh for Inspiring Session on Tech and Law at Chitkara Law School

Chitkara University had the privilege of welcoming back its distinguished alumnus, Gursimran Singh (Mechanical Engineering Batch 2011), for an inspiring and thought-provoking session with the students of Chitkara Law School. The session was organised under the aegis of the Applied Innovation & Skill Training (AIST) initiative and served as a unique platform for interdisciplinary learning.

A proud Chitkara graduate, Gursimran represented the University at the Harvard Model United Nations in 2014. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from Chitkara University before pursuing a law degree at the prestigious IIT Kharagpur. Today, he is part of Anand and Anand, one of India’s leading law firms specialising in IPR. The firm, with a legacy spanning over a century, boasts a stellar client list including Tata Group, DS Group, AstraZeneca, Toyota, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Daler Mehndi, and over 20,000 clients from the ICT sector.

During his visit, Gursimran also had the privilege of meeting Hon’ble Dr. Ashok K. Chitkara, Chancellor, and Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University. He expressed deep gratitude for their guidance and support, making his return to campus both emotional and memorable.

His journey from engineering to the forefront of IPR law exemplifies the boundless opportunities Chitkara alumni are empowered to explore. The session not only broadened students’ understanding of career possibilities but also reinforced Chitkara University’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary growth and lifelong success.
